Edward Chase |

In Memoriam
Several classmates have remarked that Ed was one of the nicest people any of us is ever likely to come across. He was consistently affable, upbeat and pleasant, and he invariably had a smile for everyone.
Eds mother was a music teacher for the Brecksville Broadview Heights School District and, from her, Ed inherited a substantial musical talent of his own. He had what was likely the finest tenor singing voice in the entire school.
Ed was also the avant-garde of sartorial fashion. He would commonly show up at school with a fancy pair of shoes or a new shirt or maybe a jacket that was distinctive and striking, and within a month, all of the guys would be wearing the same style.
In subtle ways that we can never know, Ed helped to make us what we are todayand perhaps a little better than we otherwise might have been. |
